Garen Ling is the Regional Director, ASEAN at Imperva, where he works to help organisations identify and understand data and application cybersecurity risks to allow them to make better and more informed business decisions. In this role, Garen works extensively with large enterprises particularly within Government, FSI and Service Providers.
He has over two decades of experience working in information technology and cybersecurity. He received his Bachelor of Computer Science from Adelaide University. Prior to joining Imperva, Garen served as Regional Manager with leading technology firms like Cisco Security, Sourcefire and Alcatel-Lucent specialising in Network Security, Risk and Compliance, and Governance.
Garen speaks on cybersecurity topics at a variety of events. He strongly believes the more knowledgeable and educated we all are when it comes to cybersecurity, the more risk we reduce as a whole.
